Information for Aboriginal Alumni
Welcome back to Simon Fraser University! You can physically leave SFU but it never really leaves you. Aboriginal alumni of SFU are now numbering in the thousands. We would thus like to encourage you to stay in touch with your alma mater. There are ways to do so generally and as a member of SFU’s Aboriginal alumni.
Stay connected to SFU in an "Aboriginal" way:
- Receive the weekly Tuhz e-mail newsletter sent out by the Indigenous First Nations Student Centre. This newsletter contains information concerning events, job opportunities, scholarships and bursaries, and other relevant news for Aboriginal students and alumni here at SFU.
- Receive an invitation to the yearly Honoring Feast which celebrates Aboriginal graduates during Convocation Week.
- Receive notices and updates regarding the potential formation of an Aboriginal alumni group at SFU.
- Be on the growing list of Aboriginal alumni who attended SFU.
To receive all of the above benefits, please subscribe to the Aboriginal alumni list by contacting Gary George, the First Nations Student Life Coordinator in the Indigenous First Nations Student Centre at ggeorge@sfu.ca or 778-782-5663.
The university also provides all SFU alumni with numerous benefits and services. Please visit www.sfu.ca/alumni for further information regarding on-campus resources, preferred rates and discounts on life’s necessities, general alumni events, and much more. We look forward to staying connected...
