About the Award

The President's Distinguished Community Leadership Award provides Simon Fraser University an opportunity to recognize and honour individuals or organizations for distinguished service in our community.  Distinguished leadership is characterized by such qualities as the expression and execution of high purpose and service in the community at large, impact on the community which authority and position alone would not explain, innovative approaches to community concerns and aspirations, persistent effort, and contributions to the creation of a strong sense of community.
