A bequest to SFU will create educational opportunities for students eager to get out into the world and make a difference - students like Bliss Leathers.

As a mature student and single mother, there is no way that Bliss could have attended SFU without the help of the bursary she is receiving from an endowment fund created through bequest by Laurence Mervyn Cox. Bliss is now pursuing an honours degreee in English and plans to continue her education through to the Ph.D. level, so she can teach film history and theory to generations of future students who have never seen a silent movie nor heard of Alfred Hitchcock.
