Time: 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Location: SRYE Atrium | 10285 University Drive, Surrey

Cost: $10 per person

What to wear: This is a casual event and wearing SFU gear is encouraged! A small token/gift will be given to those in SFU swag.

Event schedule

  • 5:30 p.m. The event officially begins; explore the interactive displays
  • 6:00 p.m. The speaking program & cake cutting
  • 6:30 p.m. It's time to network and check out the interactive displays
  • 7:30 p.m. The event ends

Event displays & experiences

Faculty of Applied Sciences

The Faculty of Applied Sciences team will have multiple interactive projects to show and share with you during the event, including: PEPPER the robot, Mechatronics and Software Systems projects, Sustainable Energy Engineering Capstone projects by students and more!

SFU School of Medicine

Learn about the developments with B.C.'s new medical school at SFU and the impact it will have on students and healthcare not only in B.C., but also across Canada. The team will be able to share plans about interim classroom space for the medical school at the Surrey campus.

SFU Archives

The Archives' team will have a variety of items from their vault on display. This is your opportunity to interact with real pieces of SFU's history and see how the SFU experience, and campuses, have changed over the past 60 years.

School for the Contemporary Arts

Enjoy a live performance by dancers from the School of Contemporary Arts.

Cap off the evening with something sweet!

  • Enjoy a slice of birthday cake baked by “Is it Cake? Holiday” champion and alumnus, Jujhar Mann (BBA’21)
  • Bite into some limited-edition treats from Bak’d cookies, owned by SFU alumnus Jessica Nguyen (BBA’20)
