SFU Career Services Can Help Job Finding Club Backpack to Briefcase Career Transition Conference  SFU's Women's Basketball Team Claim 2010 Canada West ChampionshipsIt's been a great year for SFU's Athletic Teams, particularly with the Women's Basketball team's win of the 2010 Canada West Championships. SFU's Robyn Buna - recipient of the 2009 SFU Alumni Association Student Leardership Award - was also named Canada West Player of the Year. The group now advances to the 2010 CIS National Championships in Ontario. This will also mark the final trip for SFU, as the Clan will move to the NCAA next season. [Learn more] Outstanding Accomplishments Captured On Film SFU's 2009 Outstanding Alumni Award recipients include one of the founders of MRI technology; a ground-breaking cancer researcher; an Olympics Gold Medalist; and a renowned author, educator and lecturer. We presented their awards on January 27 at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver. Photos from the event, as well as the recipients' video profiles are now posted. CBC's Rick Mercer visited SFU in the fall semester to encourage students, faculty and staff to participate in his nation-wide Spread the Net campaign to purchase bed nets to protect people living in Africa from mosquitos carrying Malaria.
