Call for Nominations: SFU Alumni Association Board of Directors 
If you're looking for a rewarding volunteer role where you can represent your fellow alumni and help advance the future of Simon Fraser University and the next generation of students and alumni, we invite you to consider this leadership opportunity. The SFU Alumni Association is seeking nominations for new members of its volunteer Board of Directors. Nominations are due by 4:30pm, Thursday, April 7, 2011. Voting will take place at the annual general meeting on May 25th. [Learn more] 

Nomination Call for SFU Convocation Senators
SFU alumni are invited to submit nominations for four Convocation Senators for a three-year term beginning June 1, 2011. Senate is responsible for academic governance at the university, including matters that bear on teaching and research. Alumni perspectives add a valuable element to the Senate Committee. If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit a nomination form by March 31, 2011. [Learn more] 

Share Your Thoughts to Help Shape SFU’s Future 
SFU wants to hear from you. What is distinctive about SFU? How can SFU improve the quality of the student experience? How can SFU strengthen its community engagement? These are just three of ten key questions being asked in SFU's strategic visioning and public consultation process called envision>SFU. Celebrate Women Internationally: Mini-Conference Invitation
SFU’s Young Women in Business invites SFU alumni to a complimentary mini-conference for International Women’s Day March 22nd 4:30-8:30pm at SFU’s Harbour Centre campus. A dynamic panel of industry professionals will be debating and challenging gender differences, communication in the workplace, opportunities and challenges unique to women, the idea of work/life balance, and the role of women in tomorrow’s workplace. Two exciting keynote speakers will discuss the successes women have accomplished and what resources are available to help women climb even further. RSVP required. [Learn more]

Calling All Alumni to Gather with the Clan 
Mark the morning of April 15, 2011 on your calendars for the 2nd annual Gathering of the Clan fundraising breakfast at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Guest stars include Angus Reid, SFU Football Class of ’01 and BC Lions Centre, Allison McNeill, Head Coach Women’s National Basketball Team, and Bruce Robertson, Bronze & Silver Medalist from the ’72 Olympics in Munich. Proceeds support athletic scholarships at SFU. Last year’s event drew over 1000 guests and raised $225,000 for student-athlete scholarships. Tickets available online. [Learn more] 
 
16th Annual Clan Classic Golf Tournament
The Men's and Women's SFU Varsity Golf Team invites you to join them in the 16th Annual Clan Classic Golf Tournament held at the prestigious Vancouver Golf Club on Monday, April 11. All proceeds will benefit the SFU Golf Team's travel and scholarship programs. [Learn more]
