Call for Nominations - Alumni Board of Directors
The SFU Alumni Association is welcoming nominations for new members of its volunteer Board of Directors. Nominations are due by 4 pm, Monday April 6, 2009. Voting will happen at the annual general meeting in May. Details at http://www.sfu.ca/alumni/our_alumni_association/.
Canada’s Role in the World
On March 11, Canada's World releases results of a year-long dialogue with thousands of citizens that sets out a new international vision for Canada - laying out a blueprint for how Canada can serve as a role model in the world. The initiative, based at SFU’s Centre for Dialogue and led by outstanding alumna Shauna Sylvester, has become the most comprehensive consultative process on Canadian foreign policy in our history. Student Athletes Celebrate Victory
SFU student athletes have a lot to celebrate lately. On Sunday, March 8, the women's basketball team won the CIS national championship for the 4th time in 8 years. On Saturday, SFU Clan wrestler Arjan Bhullar became the first SFU wrestler ever to win both an NAIA and CIS National Championship in the same season. On the same weekend, swimmer Vicky Sui set three records and won five titles at the NAIA Championships. Read more about the success of SFU's stellar student athletes at http://athletics.sfu.ca

Spring Break Kids Camps
SFU Recreation & Athletics provides an extensive array of spring camps to children and youth ages 5 - 18 years in the areas of athletics, recreation and education. March 16 -20, daytime hours plus early/late supervision options. Staff includes university students, varsity athletes & coaches, and professionals from the community.
