[Learn more] Young Alumni: Kick Your Career Into Overdrive On April 22 The past few years have proven tough for many recent graduates to land jobs. Come out to a networking event with up to 100 of your peers to hear three speakers tell you how to take control of your career and find well-paying work. Speakers only have 15 minutes to get their point across followed by networking in which you'll have a chance to ask more questions of the speakers. Features include a tribute to the decade of service by SFU's President, an introduction to his successor, and all the latest alumni and university news. The online version will be posted April 15. [Learn More] "SFU Exchange" Hosted For Graduate Students Faculty, graduate students and external representatives from industry, commerce, government agencies, associations, the investment community and the media will converge upon SFU's Harbour Centre campus on May 6. The "SFU Exchange" is a special one-day event for SFU graduate students to showcase their research, ideas, innovations and entrepreneurial skills to a wide audience. [Learn more] Cooking With The ClanReality TV hits the Burnaby Mountain campus with the Clan's latest cook-off pitting footballers Cody Lind and Ben Davidson against track stars Katie Tongue and Brianna Kane. This segment is the latest of the Clan Confidential series, an initiative that SFU's Athletics department is taking to introduce the lives of their athletes outside of their traditional sporting domains. Other features include What’s in Your Locker? and Off the Court With the Clan. Financial guru Nancy Shewfelt will show you how to take control of your finances and not only survive the economy, but thrive! This women-friendly financial seminar is ideal for any woman who wants greater control over her life and her financial destiny.
