Alumni Board Elections – Cast Your Vote
Five alumni have been nominated as candidates for vacant positions on the SFU Alumni Association Board of Directors. Voting will take place on May 26 at the Annual Alumni Gathering & General Meeting. Call for Nominations – Outstanding Alumni Awards
If you know an SFU graduate who deserves recognition for their extraordinary achievements, we want to hear from you. Nominations are being accepted until June 15, 2009 for the 26th annual SFU Outstanding Alumni Awards. Award categories include: professional, academic, arts & culture, athletics, public service, service to the community, and service to the university. SFU Presidential Search
After 8 years of leadership, SFU President Michael Stevenson will end his term in August 2010. A committee has begun searching for a new President and welcomes input from alumni. Open meetings are scheduled for May 11, 12:30-2 pm or May 19, 1-2:30 pm in Halpern Centre, SFU Burnaby. Visit www.sfu.ca for webcasts. Blue Dragon Launches SFU Woodward’s Opening
Robert Lepage’s theatrical masterpiece The Blue Dragon/Le Dragon Bleu comes to SFU in February 2010 as part of the Cultural Olympiad. It’s one of three productions that celebrate the January 2010 opening of SFU’s new School for the Contemporary Arts at Woodward’s. Ticket packages and early bird discounts are now available.
