ALUMNI & CAMPUS NEWS

envision>SFU: Discussion Paper For Your Review
SFU President Andrew Petter introduced the envision>SFU project in February 2011, which has become one of the most extensive community consultation processes undertaken by a Canadian university. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and community representatives contributed their thoughts and perspective around ten guiding questions designed to solicit input toward the creation of a strategic vision. Outcomes from the process have now been assembled and are presented as a discussion paper. We encourage you to share your thoughts online. [Learn more]

Seeking Your Input: Enhancing Alumni Engagement
SFU and the Alumni Association have launched a process to enhance alumni engagement and the alumni experience at SFU. As we envision the future of SFU, so must we also envision the future of alumni, our fastest growing and most lifelong stakeholder group. Draft ideas have been generated by a Steering Committee and the Alumni Association Board of Directors. We are now inviting input from alumni. We encourage you to review the draft and share your thoughts and perspective online. [Learn more]

SFU Seeks Accreditation And Welcomes Alumni Comments
SFU is currently seeing accreditation from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) – the regional U.S. authority on the educational quality and institutional effectiveness of post-secondary institutions. Receiving accreditation from the NWCCU will enable SFU to compare and share best practices with institutions worldwide, while improving international recognition and recruitment, and simplifying relations with U.S. counterparts in matters such as scholarships, grants and athletics. Alumni are encouraged to review the draft “Self Evaluation Report” that has been prepared and to share their comments before July 15th. [Learn more]
