[Learn more] [Sponsored by Leader Frames] SFU Places At Top Of Maclean’s Ranking Again For the fourth straight year, SFU is rated Canada’s best comprehensive university in the annual Maclean’s Magazine survey. SFU has held the top spot a record nine times since the Maclean’s rankings began 21 years ago. Maclean’s defines a comprehensive university as one in which “has a significant degree of research activity and a wide range of programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including professional degrees.” [Learn more]  TEDxSFU Speakers To Share Bright Ideas A collection of 14 gifted storytellers will talk about community engagement in 18 minutes or less, Saturday, Nov 26 at SFU's Surrey campus during the first ever TEDxSFU. [Learn more] SFU Aims To Become Canada’s ‘Bridge To India’ SFU President Andrew Petter is accompanying BC Premier, Christy Clark, on a trade mission to South Asia this month. The President will attend meetings in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chandigarh aimed at strengthening relationships with new and existing academic and industry partners in the areas of clean energy, public health, new media and business research. SFU researchers are active in a number of India-based projects, including development of a new treatment for bacteria-infected newborns and a campaign to address the critical state of cardiovascular health in the region.
