Alumni Association Board of Directors - Last Call for Nominations The Alumni Association is accepting nominations for three new members of its volunteer Board of Directors. Terms are for three years beginning June 2006 to May 2009. Deadline for nominations is 4:00 pm Monday, April 3, 2006. Elections will be held at the Annual Alumni Gathering & General Meeting on May 17, 2006 at SFU's Segal Graduate School of Business. Vancouver Chamber Choir - Special Discount for SFU Alumni In honour of SFU's 40th anniversary and Mozart's 250th birthday, the Vancouver Chamber Choir is offering SFU alumni an exclusive discount for a very special concert: "Mozart 250 - Requiem/Eine Kleine Nachtmusik". Join the CBC Orchestra, guest soloists from the Vienna State Opera, and the TWU Masterworks Chorale for two of Mozart's most famous and loved works. Art Gallery Welcomes Alumni on Saturdays - March 18/25 SFU alumnus Bill Jeffries, the new Director/Curator of SFU's Art Gallery, is introducing Saturday openings to give the public greater access. Contemporary Arts Spring Events - Alumni Discount Did you know that alumni receive discounted rates to contemporary arts shows at the SFU Theatre? Upcoming shows include Gen X: The Opera on March 17 and Student Choreographers on March 24/25. On-Line Survey for Alumni Ages 55+ Gerontology students supervised by faculty member Dr. Gloria Gutman are conducting a study to discover how health trends in the Baby Boomer cohort might affect best-practices for SFU's Recreation and Athletics programming. They invite alumni 55 years of age and older to participate in their on-line survey. Responses will be anonymous and no identifying data will be collected.
