Alumni Board Elections - Excercise Your Vote Join us on May 23 at the Alumni Annual Gathering & General Meeting to meet the board candidates and place your votes. Fifteen SFU graduates are running for eight vacant seats on the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Call for Nominations - 2007 Outstanding Alumni Awards If you know an SFU graduate who deserves recognition for their extraordinary achievements, please let us know. Outstanding Alumni Award categories include: professional, academic, arts & culture, athletics, public service, service to the community, and service to the university. SFU Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament - HOLD THE DATE Registrations and sponsorships are now being accepted for the SFU Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament on Tuesday, September 11 at the Swan-e-Set Country Club in Pitt Meadows, BC. Format: Texas scramble, 4 players per team. All alumni and friends of SFU are welcome. Registration includes golf, lunch, banquet dinner, and prizes. Mother's Day Fashion Show - May 11 Join SFU alumni Manjeet Gill and Kate Scheel for a Mother's Day themed fashion show on Friday, May 11 at the Diamond Alumni Centre, SFU Burnaby. Tickets for this fundraiser are $17.50 and include vintage female fashions from 1900 to present day (exhibit curated by award-winning historian Ivan Sayers), desserts, beverages, silent auction and door prizes. Read more >> Graduate Liberal Studies Alumni Event - May 17 Join your fellow GLS grads at "Sustainability: Everybody's talking about it, but nobody knows what it means." Thursday, May 17, 5:00 - 9:30 pm, SFU Vancouver Harbour Centre campus. Keynote speaker: Jim Stephenson. Breakout seminar leaders: Tracey Axelsson (Executive Director, Cooperative Auto Network), David Jordan (Editor, Granville Magazine: Sustainable City Living), and Donald Gordon (Founder, Voters Taking Action on Climate Change).
