Michael is an award-winning Vancouver artist whose most recent, thought-provoking work has brought awareness to the issue of single use plastics in our environment. His stunning series, “Entanglement: A Vision of our World with Plastic,” captures a fictional culture of people who inhabit, dress, and survive in a world of plastic waste. The images are beautiful and tragic, eliciting conversation on this important global issue. One cannot help be affected by his images.
In addition to his “Entanglement” campaign, Michael also continues to create images for commercial campaigns and magazine editorials. His work has been featured on the cover of the global advertising magazine Luerzer's Archive, and he travelled around BC covering the provincial election this year.
His visual work has been featured at multiple venues, including Science World in 2013, and will be featured in The Reach Gallery in January 2014.
