PhD (Bio), 2006
Alejandro lives true to his values and gently sets a beautiful example that influences all of those around him. He has found creative ways to continue his work in environmental science even as that discipline is eroding.
Alejandro is a compelling story teller and a committed environmental activist. He has dedicated his career towards being a conservation ecologist and is currently the science coordinator for the Central Coast Indigenous Resource Alliance. This current work is in effect establishing environmental baselines. His research is diverse, spanning from conflicts between industrial development and terrestrial wildlife to the effects of over-fishing on marine predators.
Thank you, Alejandro, for your important contributions to this increasingly important area of research. Our future generations are fortunate to have you as one of their best ambassadors!
