Hanne Madsen co-owned and operated DanFoss Couriers & Freight, a transportation business providing regional, national and international delivery service to over 3000 clients. Hanne holds a BBA from Simon Fraser University and a Certificate of Executive Management from the Segal Graduate School of Business at SFU. While completing her undergrad degree, she was active in AIESEC and the Business Administration Student Society.
Currently Hanne is a chair & facilitator for GroYourBiz, a peer to peer advisory board for women business owners and was recently appointed to the board of governors for Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She served as a director on the board of the B.C. Trucking Association for 14 years. In 2002, she was appointed as the Chair of B.C.T.A. To date, she remains the only woman to have attained that position in the 101 year history of the association. Hanne was a founding director of the Transportation Safety Council of B.C. and in 2008, she was presented with the Service to the Industry Award by B.C.T.A.
Hanne is an avid volunteer in her community and is a facilitator for Junior Achievement, teaching financial literacy to students in the Surrey School District. She is a board member of The Web Alliance of Women’s Business Networks and is also a mentor for the Thompson Rivers University School of Business & Economics Kickstart 101 program.
