BSc (Environmental Sciences), 2015
Negar Naghshinehpour graduated with an Environmental Science degree in the Applied Biology stream.
She has always displayed a passion for helping others since high school where she was President of the Students Together Advocating Non-Discrimination (STAND) and Schools in Africa clubs.
With the help of her high school counsellor, Negar chose to follow her passion by enrolling in the Environmental Science program at SFU.
Negar has been part of numerous volunteer activities both on and off campus. Through volunteer opportunities in biology labs and the Lower Mainland Green Team, she has managed to expand her horizon of knowledge.
Negar also served as co-chair of the Environmental Science Student Union during her time at SFU. In her role, she aimed to create more opportunities where students can learn about the various environmental challenges we are facing today. She was also enrolled in “Change Lab,” a course where students are motivated to solve different social problems in a sustainable manner.
Negar believes she can make a difference and is excited to see what the next chapter of her life will be. On her spare time, she enjoys reading, travelling, and being a foodie.
