David Usher

Having received five Juno Awards – the Canadian music industry’s highest honour - David Usher is a household name for millions across the world. The rock band he fronted, Moist, has sold more than 1.4 million albums. His solo career included hits such as Black Black Heart, Alone in the Universe, and Forest Fire. When David is not making music, he is equally passionate about using technology to build new and interesting businesses. His company, Cloudid Creativity Labs works at the intersection of art, technology and data bringing together artists, designers and programmers to work on a vast range of innovative projects. Most recently Cloudid has been developing on interactive climate change installations including The Rising Seas (with Autodesk) and Countdown 2º (with Concordia University). In 2015 he published his first book titled Let the Elephants Run: Unlock Your Creativity and Change Everything, now a national best seller.
