Peter Ojamaa

Mr. Peter Ojamaa, B.A., is a Senior Environmental and Earth Scientist Specialist with over 40 years of experience. He has a wide capability in the areas of study that involve soils, geomorphology and environmental planning. These include infrastructure construction and reclamation, soil survey, biophysical land evaluation, agricultural land evaluation, environmental impact assessment, route planning and subdivision approval, electrical transmission project planning, erosion control, Environmental Protection Plans, wetland mapping , and all manner of soil reconstruction and remediation projects.

Mr. Ojamaa was a former Senior Planner for the Edmonton Regional Planning Commission and has provided technical resource inventory input into large-scale and regional planning projects. He was a senior member of AltaLink Management Ltd.’s Environment group that planned and executed major electrical power line transmission projects across Alberta. He has pioneered many pre-construction permitting and impact assessment initiatives within the petroleum industry as well as being the Senior Environmental Monitor and Supervisor on National Energy Board pipeline projects. In addition, Mr. Ojamaa has experience in appearing before the Alberta Planning Commission and has extensive project management experience regarding regulatory approval matters in western Canada.
