Since completing her degree in 1995, Twyla Smith has followed in her Dad’s footsteps—in terms of career choice—by working at a prominent crown corporation that requires and recognizes the value of a university degree. There’s never a dull moment in her life between juggling work and family life with her husband and two daughters and all of their fun and healthy lifestyle choices. She enjoys playing softball and curling and she is frequently helping out at her daughters’ school with PAC activities as well as dance and rock-climbing activities.
Even though it’s been almost 20 years since she graduated, SFU will also be a special chapter in her life filled with many wonderful memories. Twyla now brings her daughters to SFU to attend various kids sports and summer camps. Each time she returns, she is reminded of the fun times of being a student at SFU—especially the late nights of studying in the AQ.
Despite her busy lifestyle, Twyla always makes time for friends and helping at times of need or just to have some fun times and laughter. She is well known for her exquisite and tasty martini creations that are always a crowd pleaser. Cheers to you Twyla for being who you are!
