Inka Bell/ Rattle

Bell/ Rattle

Artifact # 96.2.56 Described as a bell/ rattle with a textured surface.
This copper artifact has a noise maker in the center, so when you shake it, it makes a cool noise. If you fold an aluminum foil pie plate in half and put a bean in the center you will have much the same effect. What do you think they used it for? Music? Cermony? The amusement of cranky babies?
