SFU Archaeology Alumni Reunion 2008
Since its inception in 1971, the Department has graduated over one thousand archaeology students. To celebrate this accomplishment we held an alumni reunion on August 29th and 30th, 2008.
Many former graduates took this opportunity to come home, catch up with old friends, meet new people and learn about the departments activities. The party started Friday evening with a wine and cheese reception, field school photo exhibit, and tours of our fantastic new facilities. We started again on Saturday afternoon with presentations and tours as well as a program to help send Professor Knut Fladmark into his retirement in the fall of 2008. From the early to later evening, we had the SFU student pub to eat, drink, and dance to the music of Bruce Ball and a band of assorted merry archaeologists. We would like to thank everyone who attended and helped us to make this weekend a great and memorable event.
