Completion of Breadth requirements if admitted prior to Fall 2006 term
(at least 30 semester hours from five prescribed departments outside
the major department with no more than nine semester hours from any one
department counting toward the 30; up to six semester hours may be from
General Studies courses).
Minimum GPA requirements: minimum cumulative
and upper division GPA of 3.0, minimum plan and upper division plan gpa
of 3.0.
First Class Honours
Minimum GPA requirements: minimum cumulative and upper division
GPA of 3.5, minimum plan and upper division plan GPA of 3.5
Archaeology Honours Requirements (admission to program before January 2012)
Archaeology majors who wish admission to the honours program must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 and must obtain department permission. To remain in the program, students must maintain that CGPA and successfully complete 132 semester hours with at least 60 semester hours in upper division courses (50 of those in upper division Archaeology courses). In addition to meeting the Group II, III, and IV requirements as set out for the major program, honours students must complete all four Group I courses, ARCH 498, and 499.
