Samra is vice-president of the B.C. Psychological Assocation (serves as public education coordinator) and can speak on a recent American Psychological Association survey which found women are more likely than men to report heightened stress levels during the Christmas season. Among findings: 41 per cent turned to overeating and 28 per cent reported excessive drinking.
