It’s in response to former Supreme Court justice John Major’s report in June criticizing the treatment of victims’ families and suggesting the RCMP is not properly structured to deal with terrorism. SFU security expert Andre Gerolymatos has followed the case and can provide comment on the plan and Canada’s need for a more concentrated approach to dealing with prosecutions of security offences.
