SFU Contemporary Arts opens its doors
The newest addition to Simon Fraser University’s Vancouver campus opens its doors to the public today. SFU Contemporary Arts is showcasing its new home at the Goldcorp Centre for the Arts in the redeveloped Woodward’s site from Sept. 24-26.
SFU president Andrew Petter and special guests, including Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages James Moore and Minister of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development Moira Stilwell, will participate in the official opening ceremony from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 149 West Hastings St.
Performances throughout the facility by SFU Contemporary Arts faculty and students and guided tours for the public begin at 4:30 p.m. Vancouver radio station Shore 104 FM is presenting a concert by The Dudes in the courtyard starting at 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.sfuwoodwards.ca.
