Oil giants set to merge
Two key players in Canada’s oil and gas sector are set to become one, creating the country’s largest energy company, with the proposed merging of Suncor Energy Inc. and Petro-Canada. The deal is expected to create a company worth $43.3 billion. SFU associate business professor Ed Bukszar specializes in business strategy and decision-making and is among analysts watching the move.

It’s one of several eye-catching questions on the website MoveForwardBC.ca, an initiative of the Canadian Office and Professional Employees Union local 378. The site features the first of a series of ‘ads’ to appear in the weeks leading up to May’s provincial election.
