Winter moon through cabin in the sky
SFU physicist and astronomy expert Howard Trottier is well positioned to observe a rare event, the coincidence of this year’s winter solstice and a full lunar eclipse. Trottier is currently in the B.C. Interior at his homemade observatory – what he calls his “cabin in the sky” – and is available to share his views on the rarity of this winter solstice’s astronomical occurrence.
(Note: Howard does not have cell reception or a landline but can communicate via Skype. Send him e-mail and he will get in touch with you.)
