Terrorists on Canadian soil?
Three Ottawa men were arrested by the RCMP and CSIS yesterday for allegedly being part of a secret terrorist cell with connections to Al-Qaeda. Authorities say more arrests may be coming after a year-long investigation. The group is being described as “dangerous radical Islamists.” SFU international security expert Andre Gerolymatos says: "Domestic terrorism is unpredictable and potentially lethal. The reasons are complicated and the potential terrorists are well-educated, middle class young Muslim men who have a grievance against Canada and the West for the misperceived notion that we want to destroy Islam."
