Road rage claims a life
Report tracks dangerous cities

Road rage claims a life

A young man is dead after an apparent case of road rage in Aldergrove. The victim was allegedly struck down after a vehicle involved in the initial incident returned to the scene. What prompts such acts? SFU criminologists Neil Boyd and Ehor Boyanowsky can provide comment on the tragedy.

Report tracks most dangerous cities

A new report by Maclean’s Magazine that ranks cities from the most crime-ridden to the safest (using annual crime data from Statistics Canada) has determined that five of the 10 highest crime cities in Canada are in B.C., while the top three are all in the Prairies. SFU criminologists Paul Brantingham and Bryan Kinney study crime rates and patterns as well as methods of compiling statistics on crime, and can provide comment.
