The skinny on fat children
SFU kinesiology professor and obesity researcher Diane Finegood says the responsibility to help students stay fit and healthy doesn’t rest with any one sector of society. She says making “the healthy choice the easy choice” should be the driving force for change at many different levels, including city planning, food and beverage manufacturing, and policy-making. Finegood can talk about the reasons for, and complex solutions to, the issue of childhood obesity.
