Preparing for a pandemic
Three quarters of B.C. workers believe a flu pandemic is likely to hit Canada – and at least a quarter of those employed in sectors vital to keeping businesses running don’t intend to show up for work if a pandemic breaks out in their city. The results of a new Leger Marketing survey also show few companies have any sort of pandemic plan in place. SFU is currently in the throes of formulating its plans for all three campuses. Pam Whiting, Director of SFU’s Health and Counselling Services, can talk about the steps SFU is taking.
