Simon Fraser University's Surrey campus is host to a number of exciting events in February and March. The highlight is of course the annual SFU Surrey Open House, but there's lots more going on. Open House, Feb. 21
Simon Fraser University is inviting high school students, their parents and the public to visit its new campus on Wednesday, February 21, 4 - 8 p.m. for the annual SFU Surrey Open House. You can tour the campus, watch the entertainment on the mezzanine stage, hear presentations on academic programs, view student projects and faculty demonstrations, see interactive displays, ask questions of our many university participants, and maybe even win one of many prizes including cell phones, laptop computers and iPods. Philosophers Café, Feb. 21
Attend a free Philosophers' Café at SFU Surrey's Open House on Wednesday, February 21, 3-4 pm, for vibrant discussion on University and the Valley with moderator Dr. Allan MacKinnon, Faculty of Education. Free lecture on Shaping the Region's Future: Connecting Land Use and Transportation with Anthony Downs, Senior Fellow, Brookings Institution, on how to accommodate growth while maintaining livability, ensuring accessibility, protecting the environment and supporting economic prosperity.
