Simon Fraser University is inviting high school  students, their parents and the public to visit its campus in the award-winning Central City complex in Surrey on Thursday, February 28,  4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. during its annual SFU Surrey Open House.

“You can tour our new campus, watch the entertainment on the mezzanine floor, hear presentations on academic programs, view student projects and faculty demonstrations, see interactive displays, ask questions of our many university participants, and maybe even win a prize,” says Matthew Grant, Enrollment Manager for SFU Surrey.

Faculty and students from many of SFU’s programs will be on hand to answer questions and show off their work, including interactive arts and technology, computing science, business administration, education, health sciences, arts and social sciences, science and continuing studies. Potential students and their parents can also find out about SFU Surrey’s innovative first-year programs, TechOne, Explorations, and Science Year One.

“We’re also giving out great prizes,” says Grant, “including an iPod Touch and a PlayStation 3 and every high school student who attends will get a free t-shirt.” Only high school students who register online before the Open House are eligible to win the iPod Touch.

The Open House is being held on the mezzanine floor of the new campus at Central City, 13450 102 Ave., close to the Surrey Central SkyTrain station.
