There's something fishy about SFU's upcoming Earth Day celebration.
On Friday, April 20, the community is invited to Town Square on the Burnaby Campus from 10 am to 3 pm to decorate a massive metal fish sculpture with thousands of flowering plants.
The all-ages event, organized by SFU, the City of Burnaby and Project Rivershed, will raise funds to benefit the Rivershed Society of B.C., which supports the Brunette Rivershed Demonstration Project. For a small donation, visitors can place a plant plug to help transform the 2,000-kg. welded metal frame into a colourful seven-metre eco-sculpture.
