Douglas Coupland, novelist, playwright and visual artist, best known for his 1991 international best seller, Generation X: Tales for an Accelerated Culture;
Terry Snutch, a molecular biologist whose Neuromed Pharmaceuticals signed the biggest agreement in Canadian biotech history (with Merck&Co);
Marguerite Ford, former Vancouver city councillor and community planner, advocate for better healthcare and housing;
Eleanor Wachtel, writer, broadcaster and host of CBC Radio’s Writers & Company and The Arts Tonight;
Larry Beasley, former Vancouver city planner largely credited with transforming the city’s downtown core;
Ray Hyman, professor emeritus, University of Oregon at Eugene, founding member of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal;
Stephen Jarislowsky, chairman and CEO of Jarislowsky, Fraser and Company, one of Canada’s largest investment management firm;,
Richard Lipsey, SFU economics professor emeritus and Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council gold medalist (’05) for lifetime achievement.
