It’s free, it’s fun and it’s focused on kids, from toddlers to age 13. It’s SFU campus security’s 10th annual Kids’ Safety Day at the Burnaby campus on Saturday, July 14, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., by the reflecting pond in the Academic Quadrangle.

The day features a bike rodeo, safety presentations, face painting, games and prizes. Presenters include the Burnaby fire department, the RCMP, BC Hydro Power Smart outreach, Boy Scouts, Bear Aware, the B.C. Drug and Poison information centre, and the CN police.

Draw prizes include passes to the Greater Vancouver Zoo, Science World, Playland, Whitecaps soccer and Giants hockey games and more. Every child will receive a prize.

Children who are pre-registered by July 12 will receive a free piece of pizza and an orange drink. Or, register on the day, beginning at 11 a.m.
