The votes are in – Matthias Gelber in Malaysia is the greenest person on the planet. The highly anticipated announcement was revealed today at SFU’s sustainability festival in Burnaby. SFU business assistant professor Boyd Cohen created the online contest on the environmentally-friendly website, 3rdwhale.com and Matthias now proudly possesses the coveted green title. Matthias Gelber is originally from Germany and currently lives in Malaysia.
The winner receives a pod of beluga whales adopted on his behalf from the Defenders of Wildlife. Furthermore, the winner has the chance to choose which non-profit organization will receive 5% of 3rdwhale’s 2009 profits.
