HSBC Bank Canada has donated $200,000 to establish a permanently endowed HSBC Graduate Scholarship in Global Asset and Wealth Management (GAWM) at the Segal Graduate School of Business at Simon Fraser University.
The GAWM MBA offers intensive, hands-on learning in both the art and science of professional portfolio management.
"SFU Business is grateful for HSBC Bank Canada’s scholarship support for students in our Global Asset and Wealth Management MBA,” says Carolyne Smart, dean of SFU Business. “HSBC Bank Canada is a founding member of the GAWM Business Council and this scholarship demonstrates their continued dedication to educating future investment managers for the financial services sector.”
Jeff Dowle, Executive Vice President, Branch Banking, HSBC Bank Canada says: “At HSBC Bank Canada, we are committed to higher learning opportunities for students. We believe that support for education is crucial for the future prosperity of Canada and we are proud to support this MBA program at SFU.”
