SFU’S Adaptation to Climate Change Team (ACT) releases its latest report: Climate Change Adaptation and the Low Carbon Economy (on Wednesday Dec. 8, 10:30 a.m.) on the environmental, social and economic challenges of adopting clean energy
Author Bruce Sampson, Chair of the International Centre for Sustainable Cities and former VP Sustainability, BC Hydro, will speak to the major recommendations in the report and will be available to answer questions.
This is the third in an SFU series of research and policy initiatives on adapting to climate change from a regional and national perspective. ACT's first two reports focused on Climate Change Adaptation and Biodiversity (2008), and Climate Change Adaptation and Extreme Weather (2009). (See http://www.sfu.ca/act/Publications.html for these.)
