Simon Fraser University's School for the Contemporary Arts will host a reception for Vancouver's cultural community on Wednesday, April 15 to preview the school's upcoming move to the Woodward's complex at 149 West Hastings in Gastown, and to launch the exciting inaugural cultural program.

Arts media (including bloggers) are welcome and invited to attend this event, but please be advised that due to construction-site safety restrictions, we are not able to offer a full tour of the new site at this time.

We are as eager to show off our new home as you are to see it, and want to assure you that we will make tours available at the earliest possible opportunity. In any case, we will be able to provide you with an animated visual fly-through to help provide context.

Please come to learn more about how our school plans to work with Vancouver's diverse cultural community in the months and years ahead.

Where: John Fluevog Shoes, 65 Water Street (Gastown location), Vancouver, BC
When: Wednesday, April 15 at 10 a.m.
Media enquiries: Julie Ovenell-Carter/Susan Jamieson-McLarnon, 778.782.3210 or joc@sfu.ca
