Christopher Erickson (nephew), 604.762.5919
PAMR, 778.782.3210
A memorial service will be held on June 14 for renowned Vancouver architect Arthur Erickson—in Convocation Mall at Simon Fraser University's Burnaby campus.
This is a change of location: The service was originally planned for Christ Church Cathedral in downtown Vancouver.
Erickson died in Vancouver on May 20. He was 84. His world-spanning career in architecture included co-designing the unique SFU campus atop Burnaby Mountain with Geoffrey Massey in 1963.
The service at SFU, followed by a reception, will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday June 14. The service will be conducted by Peter Elliott, dean of Christ Church Cathedral.
Both service and reception in the glass-ceilinged Convocation Mall are open to all. There will be free parking in Parking Lot B on the SFU Burnaby campus.
(Editors and producers: Please note the place and time for the memorial service have changed from what the Erickson family originally planned. See also http://www.arthurerickson.com/)
