The Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS), the world’s top-rated journal in the field of international business, has appointed a Simon Fraser University Business professor as its area editor for cross-cultural management.
David Thomas, the director of the Centre for Global Workforce Strategy at SFU Business and a professor of international business, began the three-and-half year appointment on July 1.
As a JIBS area editor, Thomas will analyse other researchers’ work on cross-cultural decision-making, negotiation in a cross-cultural context, multicultural teams and cultural influence on organizational structures and processes.
Thomas has authored eight books, including Cultural Intelligence: Living and Working Globally. His book Cross-Cultural Management Essential Concept won the R. Wayne Pace Human Resource Development book of the year award for 2008.
JIBS, published by Palgrave Macmillan, covers research on international business and is the official publication of the Academy of International Business.
