It’s free, it’s fun and it’s focused on kids to age 13. It’s the annual Kids’ Safety Day at SFU on Saturday, July 15, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. by the reflecting pond in the Academic Quadrangle.
Hosted by SFU campus security, the day features a bike rodeo, safety presentations, face painting, games and prizes. Presenters include the Burnaby fire department, the RCMP, BC Hydro Power Smart outreach, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, the B.C Drug and Poison information centre, and the CN police.
Draw prizes include passes to Playland, the Vancouver Aquarium, Crash Crawly’s, the Whitecaps Soccer games and more. Children who pre-register before July 12 will receive a free piece of pizza and an orange drink. Or, register on the day, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
