An exhibition of rare manuscripts from London's Institute of Ismaili Studies was part of the annual Mirhady Lecture in Iranian Studies at Harbour Centre, Nov. 4. Alnoor Merchant, (above), Keeper of the Manuscripts and the institute's senior librarian, accompanied the collection to Canada. The Mirhady lecturer was Dr. Farhad Daftary, the institute's director of academic research and publications, the world authority on the pre-modern history of Persian Ismailism, who discussed the Persian contribution to Ismaili history and culture.
