Making Connections: Sharing Knowledge for Greater Innovation, is a two-day conference April 17-18 that will cover everything from learning and collaboration technologies to networking and high performance computing.

The conference is being organized by BCNET and will be held at SFU’s Vancouver campus at Harbour Centre. It will bring together more than 400 researchers, academics, IT professionals and government leaders from across B.C.

Richard Smith, an associate communication professor at SFU who specializes in internet use, Fiona Brinkman, an assistant professor in molecular biology at SFU and biochemistry, and Frances Atkinson, associate director of SFU’s academic and computing services, are among key speakers.

BCNET provides high-speed network capabilities to SFU, its researchers and higher education communities.
