Switch on your computer or take a seat in an SFU theatre to watch as
Simon Fraser University confers honorary degrees on three Nobel
Laureates: His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Professor Shirin Ebadi and
Archbishop Desmond Tutu at Vancouver's Christ Church Cathedral.

The ceremony starts at 9 am but we expect to start transmission about 8:45 am.

The Roundtable Dialogue
In the afternoon, President Michael Stevenson will introduce Bishop Michael Ingham who will moderate the Roundtable Dialogue from UBC’s Chan Centre, 12 noon - 5:15 pm.

The topic is Balancing Educating the Heart and Educating the Mind. The morning’s honorary degree recipients will be joined by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, from the United States, and Dr. Jo-ann Archibald, an SFU grad now an assistant professor of education at UBC.
