Simon Fraser University’s 40th anniversary Open House on Saturday, June 3 from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. is shaping up to be a huge community celebration. It promises to be a great way for the whole family to spend the day discovering all that SFU has to offer.
Highlights will include a CSI-style forensic show, underwater vehicle demonstrations, robotic dogs, the recreation of a murder trial in ancient Athens and, from our molecular biologists, worms in space. There is much more to come.
The day will have something for everyone, with hundreds of exhibits, interactive displays, lab demonstrations, performances and presentations featuring the university’s academic programs and campus services. Visitors can also tour the campus grounds and see how several building projects around campus and the first stages of a new community on Burnaby Mountain are changing the look of the hill.
The big show will be on the Burnaby campus but SFU Surrey and SFU Vancouver will also welcome visitors. For more information check www.sfu.ca/openhouse/.
SFU also has accommodation for families visiting from out of town. Contact 604.291.4503 for more information.
Mark June 3 on your calendars. Stay tuned for more details. If you would like more information or have questions about this event, please contact us.
