Dr. Hans Blix, former head of both the United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission and the International Atomic Energy Agency and chair of The Weapons of Mass Destruction Commission, will present the commission's recently released report -

Weapons of Terror:
Freeing the world of nuclear, biological and chemical arms,
Wednesday, June 28, 9 am-12 noon,
Wosk Centre for Dialogue, Simon Fraser University,
580 West Hastings St., Vancouver.

Following the presentation, Dr. Blix and members of the WMD Commission and Global Action to Prevent War will discuss the report's 60 major recommendations. The session is open to the public. Speakers will be available to media, 12-12:30 pm at the Wosk centre. Seating is limited. Please call Susan Jamieson-McLarnon, 604.291.5151, to ensure a seat.

The Weapons of Mass Destruction Commission was established by the Government of Sweden in 2003. This Vancouver report launch event is co-sponsored by The Simons Foundation, The WMD Commission and Simon Fraser University. The Simons Foundation of Vancouver made an early commitment to the WMD Commission and has provided generous financial and organizational support throughout the process.
