If you're a graduate of Simon Fraser University, there's a party with your name on it happening Saturday, October 1 on Burnaby Mountain.
The alumni 40th anniversary celebration event begins at 10 am on the Arthur Erickson-designed Burnaby campus, and will feature a variety of fun, free, family-friendly events including a procession by SFU's famous pipers, a kids camp, assorted faculty barbecues and coffee parties, a showing of SFU alumna Sandy Wilson's film My American Cousin, free use of gymnasium facilities, and a jazz open house at the newly refurbished Diamond Alumni Centre.
Visit www.sfu.ca/alumni/40th for detailed information and to register for events, on-campus accommodation, child care, and a chance to win an Apple iPod.
More than 85,000 people have graduated from SFU since it opened its doors on Sept. 9, 1965.
